Free Business Cards – Entirely Free or Not-So-FREE?

If you’re looking to get free business cards, then you’re in the right place. There are so many companies offering free business cards, but are they really free or simply out to cheat your money?

Before you sign up for any free business cards, consider this as a friendly warning to read this post first to avoid being cheated. Be smart. Make an informed decision even if it’s free not-so-free.

Free Business Cards – Not Entirely Free! *Breaking News*

Ok. Not exactly breaking news. But First, you have to understand that all good free business cards offer are not entirely free. You have to pay a standard shipping and handling fees to cover their overhead by paying the delivery man to hand-delivery the cards right to the door of your office.

The costs can come in between $6.00 to $10.00 just to ship your cards. Sounds fair? Yes, but as the saying goes, there is no free lunch in this world so how do companies gain something out of it? Let’s find out.

Here Comes the Catch

Every free offer definitely comes with a catch. So what’s the catch here? If this is your first time getting free business cards, read this carefully as this may put you off in paying S&H for a stack of free business cards that you will never want to use in your business.

So in order to find out the truth to how companies can afford to give up to 250 free business cards, I signed up to most, if not all of the deals available online and here’s what I found:

1) There is an unwanted logo printed at the back of the cards. It’s very prominent. Anyone that turns the card around will see this logo and will definitely go uhh..what is this logo doing on your business cards? ( I can’t imagine the embarrassment that I will be going through and how I will answer to my prospects so I don’t look like an idiot who can’t afford to pay $10 for the cards but I still want them to pay me $1,000 for my products or services?)

2) Some cards look cheap and not the way I wanted it to be. They look so awful that I use them to play with my cats.

3) Cards that got lost in transition. Simply money wasted.

Conclusion and Top Offers that You Only Need to Care About

Would you pay $6 for a stack of free business cards with an unwanted logo printed at the back of your business cards or $8.00 for 500 professional designed premium cards with nothing but your own business information on the cards?

The choice is clear but in case anyone is able to deal with someone else logo on their business cards just to save $2.00 bucks, I have the top free 250 free business cards offer listed in my comparison chart below as well:

1. 500 Premium Business Cards For $8.14 (Limited Time Offer)Technically, this is not a “totally free” offer but it still is a tremendous deal.

free business cards
The Pros:

  • You will get 500 high quality, premium business cards for a mere $1.99.
  • The cards are visually stunning and you have roughly 3,600 different card templates to select from. With such an enormous amount of choice, it would be quite likely that you can find the appropriate professional and aesthetic look needed to visually impress.
  • Those that wish their business cards were completely pristine will be thrilled to know that there is no logo printed on the front or back of the card. Logos can be somewhat distracting and their lack of presence on these cards is a benefit.

The Cons:

  • The total cost will come out to $8.14 NETT (cost inclusive of the cards) as there will be shipping and handling fees. This is the tradeoff for not having the logo imprinted on these high quality cards.

2. 250 Free Business Card Offer with Free Card Holder

Those looking for free business cards that are totally “free”, this one would be the right order to select. Really, it has a lot of benefits associated with it.

The Pros:

  • 250 completely free business cards are available with this offer. These cards are not “second rate” as they are printed on premium business card stock. That means they remain highly professional looking on all levels and will certainly prove impressive to those that are handed the card – and, once again, you are getting all these benefits for FREE!
  • A free card holder is included as part of the offer which is a nice inclusion to what is already an excellent deal.
  • There are 45 excellent templates in which you can select from an all of these templates are professional looking and designed to impress.

The Cons:

  • You will need to pay shipping and handling charges at $5.67. The cards need to be shipped and you will have to cover those costs.
  • Vistaprint logo printed on the back of the cards which may be a drawback but the fact the imprint is on the back of the card reduces all some of the negative aspects of it.

Honestly, when you look at the minor negatives associated with these cards, you realize there are not all that many negatives associated with the offer. The truth is this is a top of the line free offer worth exploring.

3. 10 Free Sample Business Cards (MOO) with Free Shipping

On the surface, MOO’s 10 Free Business Cards looks like a decent one and it really is, but it is not all that much better than being merely decent.

The Pros:

  • These cards are free – TOTALLY FREE – and that means you won’t even have to pay shipping charges.
  • 259 templates are available for you to choose from which means you have a wide range of options for those seeking the perfect business card.
  • Custom images can be added to the cards….FREE. You can add up to ten custom images for the front but you will be limited to one custom image on the back of all ten cards.

The Cons

  • A MOO.com watermark is present on the cards – this is a HUGE negative.
  • It is nice to get ten free cards but….all you get is 10 free cards.

The cons here, sadly, are major drawbacks and no one would be wise to sugar-coat them. Learn more about the offer at:  Moo.com 10 Free Sample Business Cards

Stick with the Top Two

You would be much better served sticking with the top two offers for the obvious reason – they are both more cost-effective. 10 cards are just not enough for serious professionals and in the end, it would costs you so much more if you are to order a larger quantity of business cards with Moo.com (~$160 for 400 business cards).

Giving those expensive cards away for the sake of being graphical just doesn’t make sense for any salesperson like us making a living largely based on our commissions. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re not a designer who needs to impress your prospects with your exceptional creativity at such huge expense.

VistaPrint offers cleaner free business cards that are produced at the highest level of quality as they are printed on highly valued card stock and crafted in an artistic manner that exudes professionalism.

Really, it would be very difficult to find a business card service that can top the impressive nature of what VistaPrint offers. It’s very affordable and most importantly, has all the ability you need to clinch a sale from your potential customer.

I’m so confident that the offers listed here are the best in the market and if you can find anything else that is even better, contact me and I’ll send $50 to your paypal account for wasting your time.
